About Cory Musician
I buy and improve businesses one at a time.
The focus is on companies that are fundamentally sound but have become complicated or no longer sit at the center of their owner’s priorities. In those situations, simplifying the business and tightening operations can produce strong, durable cash flow.
I don’t run operations day to day. I work with management to set direction and focus on the decisions that matter most economically.
I don’t run a fund. Each business stands on its own. When I find something that makes sense, I bring it to a small group of long-term partners and decide whether to proceed together.
Alongside this work, I am an engineer and have spent several years in large companies. That experience has shown me how often smaller businesses can do better on their own, rather than inside a larger organization.
I am early in this by design. My focus is to build a record of a few well-chosen, well-run deals.
If you own a business that no longer fits your organization, or you prefer looking at individual deals rather than blind pools, I am always open to a conversation.
